Shortlisted businesses announced for the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards

Shortlisted Worcestershire businesses for the Tourism Awards

Forty-two Worcestershire businesses have been shortlisted for the annual Tourism Awards in partnership with the VisitEngland Awards of Excellence.

After a record number of entries, businesses will now go through to the second round of judging where independent industry professionals will decide the winners and highly commended.

Winners will be announced at the annual black-tie event, hosted this year at the incredible Ombersley Court, a brand-new Worcestershire event space, on Friday 15th March. Visit Worcestershire will be working with local suppliers to deliver the event which includes Bromsgrove-based Fews Marquees, who will be providing a state-of-the-art Orangery where the awards ceremony will take place.

After the success of this year’s event, the awards celebrate Worcestershire’s ever-growing tourism sector which includes hotels, attractions, pubs, restaurants, glamping/camping sites, self-catering accommodation and much more.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member for Economy, Infrastructure and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The Tourism Awards is now an established event which rewards and celebrates our business community. The shortlisted businesses demonstrate the quality of offering for potential visitors and the national influence that Worcestershire has for the wider visitor economy. Congratulations to all shortlisted businesses and I look forward to the event in March 2024.”

All Worcestershire winners will be put forward to the national VisitEngland Awards of Excellence, with the chance of being shortlisted amongst the best in England. Last year saw Michelin-starred restaurant, Pensons at the Netherwood Estate, receive the Taste of England Gold Award. Recognising the Worcestershire dining experience as one of the best in the country.

The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 15th March and Visit Worcestershire is looking for local businesses to help support the event with sponsorship opportunities.
