Autism West Midlands specialise in supporting people with autism and their families by providing residential and supported living, community-based support, training, advice and employment assistance.
The Autism Awareness course is designed for people & businesses working to improve inclusion and diversity by increasing their knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by those with autism. This course gives learners a comprehensive understanding of autism, including how the spectrum works and it will equip participants with practical strategies to adapt their approach, ensuring effective and empathetic support for autistic individuals.
The course will cover:
- Introduction to Autism
- Communication differences
- Social interaction challenges
- The importance of structure & routine
- Sensory issues
We are running two courses on different dates to give people some flexibility. Course 2:
- Autism Awareness – Tuesday 15th September 2026
Timings: 9.30am-12.30pm
Venue: Worcestershire County Cricket Club, New Rd, Worcester WR2 4QQ
Cost: £30 per person (plus VAT)
