Civil War Commemoration Tourism Fund

Next year marks 375 years since the Battle of Worcester — the decisive clash that brought the English Civil War to its close on 3 September 1651.

This milestone offers a timely moment to shine a light on Worcestershire’s influential place in English history, while inspiring fresh visitor interest and supporting the creation of new heritage-focused experiences that bring the county’s story to life.

To support this, Visit Worcestershire is launching a Civil War Commemoration Fund. The fund, which will cover grants up to £2,000, will help businesses, community organisations and heritage partners to deliver high quality, bookable experiences or events that celebrate this important anniversary and contribute to Worcestershire’s wider Visit Historic Worcestershire campaign.

From immersive walking tours and re-enactments to family-friendly activities and creative performances, we want Worcestershire to shine as a heritage destination.

If your organisation is developing an event or would like further details about the grant fund, please get in touch at visitworcestershire@worcestershire.gov.uk
