Visit Worcestershire have announced St Richard's Hospice as our Charity of the Year for the 2027 Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards.

As Charity of the Year, St Richard's Hospice will feature throughout the 2027 Worcestershire Tourism Awards programme, creating opportunities to engage with the county's tourism and hospitality sector, raise awareness of the hospice's work and generate valuable fundraising on the awards night, taking place on Friday 19 March 2027.

St Richard’s Hospice is an independent Worcestershire charity that provides free, expert care and support to more than 3,000 patients, loved ones, and bereaved people each year. Founded in 1984, the charity delivers vital medical, emotional, and practical care for adults living with incurable illnesses, supporting them both in their own homes and at their Worcester-based In-patient Unit. Rated "Outstanding" by the CQC, St Richard's relies on a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to run its £12 million services annually, with 80% of its essential funding raised through the generosity of the local community.

St Richard’s Hospice has delivered three major public art trails in Worcester which saw giraffe, elephant and penguin sculptures take over the city, attracting visitors from near and far. In summer 2027, the charity will host Peter Rabbit™ in the warrens of Worcester where 75 Peter Rabbit™ sculptures, large and small, will bring joy (and a little bit of mischief) to the county.
