Free Business Consultancy Extended to Support Tourism Businesses

Visit Worcestershire and Worcestershire County Council are continuing to support the tourism sector with specialist 1:1 business consultancy.

A new round of free consultancy has been announced after the success of the previous programme, which has benefitted 73 small to medium-sized businesses over the past three years.

Businesses will receive comprehensive advice and guidance across a chosen focus area. The programme is shaped to assist tourism businesses with practical advice in key areas such as team development, marketing strategy and diversification.

Councillor Adam Kent, Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: "Supporting our tourism businesses is crucial for the growth of Worcestershire's economy. This extended consultancy programme demonstrates our commitment to helping local enterprises thrive in a competitive market.

“By providing tailored, one-on-one support, we are equipping businesses with the tools they need to innovate, grow, and continue contributing to our vibrant visitor economy.”

“The success of the previous programme shows the tangible impact this support can have, and I am confident that this new round of assistance will be just as effective in fostering resilience and growth in our tourism sector."

Visit Worcestershire is looking to once again support a number of businesses ranging from accommodation providers to visitor attractions. 240 hours of face-to-face support are estimated to take place throughout the programme over a 2 year period.

Tourism remains to be a key driver of growth in the Worcestershire economy and the new support programme is set to equip organisations with the knowledge and skills to be successful in an increasingly competitive market.
