Set within a beautiful outdoor landscape and run entirely by passionate local volunteers, this Evesham-based venue offers audiences something rare: magical shared experiences where theatre, nature, and community come together under open skies.
In 2025, the amphitheatre’s season delighted audiences with a rich and varied programme. From Illyria’s Pride & Prejudice and a joyful Wizard of Oz to the swashbuckling adventure of Treasure Island and a starlit Sunset Cinema, each event transformed the landscape into a living stage.
With a strong foundation now in place, the team is looking confidently to the future. Their ambition is to reach new audiences, build stronger local partnerships, and strengthen their online presence so that even more people can discover the joy of outdoor theatre in this unique setting.

Looking Ahead to 2026
Plans for the 2026 season are already well underway. The Lenches Amphitheatre aims to expand its appeal with an even more diverse and exciting programme of theatre and live productions. A key milestone will be the official launch of the amphitheatre alongside its newly completed adjacent building, which will offer versatile spaces designed to enhance and broaden the overall visitor experience.
Community remains at the heart of everything they do. Recent collaborations, such as hosting Church Lench School’s end-of-year celebration, have been hugely rewarding. The team is committed to deepening relationships with local schools and community groups and looks forward to welcoming many more community events in the future. They are also keen to encourage new volunteers to join, particularly those with skills that will help broaden the team’s capabilities and resilience.

Working with Visit Worcestershire
To help shape their next chapter, The Lenches Amphitheatre engaged with Visit Worcestershire for guidance and external insight.
“We engaged with Visit Worcestershire to help focus our many ideas and to gain external advice on how to develop our marketing strategy. In our early discussions we focused on Audience, Package and Partnerships as key areas.”
The aim is twofold: to attract new customers both local and from further afield while also building stronger local partnerships across Worcestershire.
“The wide range of contacts which Nicky has given us will enable us to start some useful discussions and hopefully bear fruit as we move forwards.”
Already, the venue is seeing encouraging results.
“We are seeing success through our numbers of repeat and new visitors. Success is about seeing people leave the shows with a smile on their faces after an afternoon of quality entertainment in a unique setting that blends culture, nature, and hospitality.”

Tangible Results and Next Steps
The consultancy has delivered clear, practical outcomes.
“The outcome of the consultancy was extremely positive. It helped us to look at aspects of our venue offering with fresh eyes and we now have a number of tangible actions and ideas which we have started to progress. These will be our focus over the winter period along with planning for our 2026 season.”
Key actions include updating the website, consolidating branding, and promoting the venue more effectively to both local and tourism audiences. The team has already begun putting this advice into practice and is in discussion with other businesses within the Visit Worcestershire community, with a view to forging mutually beneficial partnerships and widening audience appeal.
Alongside this, they have started a consultation and design process to refresh their brand image, ensuring it is reflected consistently across their website and social media platforms.
The Lenches Amphitheatre is a shining example of what can be achieved when community spirit, creativity, and the right support come together. With bold plans for 2026 and a renewed sense of direction, this open-air venue is ready to welcome even more visitors to experience theatre in a setting where culture, nature, and hospitality truly take centre stage.
