Building a Sustainable Future for Tourism

This month’s network event will help break down all things you can do to help the environment while also reducing your running costs, and indicate how you can be supported to become a more sustainable business.

About this event

Dates, address & more

Saving energy, cutting water usage and reducing waste are all things you can do to help the environment while also reducing your running costs. This month’s network event will help break it down further and indicate how you can be supported to become a more sustainable business.

We begin the session by welcoming a member of Worcestershire’s Net Zero Team who will share with you details of the current programme available , as well as the opportunities around grant funding you would be eligible for.

We then have guest speaker Rachel McCaffery, Sustainability Lead at VisitEngland outlining the national tourism organisation’s approach to sustainability and talk through the four key pathways of their regenerative tourism framework, before highlighting the business benefits of more sustainable operations with some examples and tips.

We of course will have the usual updates from the Visit Worcestershire team and the chance to meet and talk to fellow peers before and after the speaker sessions.

This networking event will take place from 10am until 12noon at the Spring Grove House, based at West Midlands Safari Park. We would love to see as many of your there as possible.
