Information about this itinerary
Day One
Pack your bags and start your journey to Broadway, Worcestershire. The Cotswold-stone lined streets, which have lured visitors for centuries will provide the backdrop for your Worcestershire short break.
Check into the iconic Lygon Arms which will provide a comfortable, luxurious base for your short break. Make sure to reserve a table in celebrity chef, James Martin’s, onsite restaurant which will be the first stop on your culinary experience.
Day Two
Fuelled by the Lygon’s mouthwatering breakfast options, a morning trip to one of Worcestershire’s most famous landmarks, Broadway Tower. At the top of the beautiful Cotswolds escarpment, with beautiful views, it has enjoyed a colourful history since its conception by Capability Brown over 200 years ago.
The Tower provides plenty of countryside walking routes.
Duration – 2 hours
Learn and experience the history of Broadway with a trip to the Museum & Art Gallery. Explore the collection and exhibitions arranged
throughout the beautiful historic 17th-century coaching inn.
Duration – 2 hours
Return to the Lygon Arms and enjoy the spa facilities for the rest of the afternoon. Head out on the High Street and enjoy delicious British menus at the award-winning, Russells. All set in laid-back, stylish surroundings. It's the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.
Day Three
It’s time to check out. But that doesn’t mean the end of your Worcestershire short break.
A day trip to the historic city of Worcester will mark as the final destination of your Worcestershire trip. Learn about Worcester’s part in the English Civil War at The Commandery, followed by a visit to Worcester Cathedral where you can learn the story of the ‘infamous’ bad King John and his final resting place.
The city also provides some fantastic independent restaurants, our recommendations would be Ostler’s at No 1 or the Olive Branch. Now it's time to travel home!
