The iconic 1951 film Scrooge is set to tour the UK and for the first time will be screened with the film music played live. By painstakingly transcribing the music scores and lines the Christmas Classic’s soundtrack will be performed ‘in concert’ by the FB Pocket Orchestra for a two day performance at the prestigious Worcester Cathedral on 15th December at 7pm plus three shows across 16th December and billed as Scrooge Live.
Starring the legendary Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge, film goers will experience the production in a totally unique way with atmospheric sound effects, synchronisation and an immersive musical journey that takes the film to new audiences.
The Charles Dicken’s tale of Scrooge, A Christmas Carol and his journey with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future is synonymous with everyone’s festive folklore. The beloved tale of redemption and goodwill is a tale truly fit for Christmas.
