Wet Felting Slippers Workshop
How very exciting, the opportunity to make your very own felted mule-style slippers.
About this event
Dates, address & more
Felted slippers are all the rage and well, we couldn’t resist introducing this brilliantly colourful and creative workshop to our line-up. Wet felted slippers are seamless and created by layering wool and then, using warm soapy water, agitating the fibres until they shrink and interlock. Using gorgeous alpaca fleece, your knowledgeable (in felting and the rearing of alpacas!) tutor will guide you through the making process.
The workshop promises to be great fun, though be prepared, it is called wet felting for a reason! There is a lot of soap and water involved in agitating the fleece to make it ‘felted’ and the process can be hard going on your arms, though absolutely worth it. You will also need to be prepared to get your feet out in order to make your slippers fit correctly - think Cinderella!
Your day will start at 10.00am and will conclude by 4.00pm. There will be a pause for lunch during the day, which will be provided. Once your wet felted slippers are complete, there may even be time to add some needle felted details too.
Whether you are looking to enjoy a day of wet felting or you simply fancy a pair of snazzy slippers, this workshop is for you!
