The Folklore Podcast is created and hosted by Mark Norman. Mark is a folklore researcher and author based in the United Kingdom. He is a committee member of the Folklore Society, which is the longest standing learned society for the study of Folklore. He tutors online folklore courses for Learn for Pleasure and is also the curator of The Folklore Library and Archive.

Mark and his wife Tracey (author of the acclaimed play WITCH) are authors of a number of books in the folklore and witchcraft history genres. Their book DARK FOLKLORE leads readers on an exploration of those more salubrious facets of our past, highlighting those aspects of our cultural beliefs and social history which are less ‘wicker basket’ and more ‘Wicker Man’.

Features chapters on Folk Ghosts, Dark Church Lore, Sleep Paralysis and the Old Hag, Urban Legends and Dark Tourism.
