Elizabethan Christmas at Harvington Hall
Step back in time and experience Christmas as it would have been in Elizabethan England.
About this event
Dates, address & more
Come and be part of the Harvington household and discover the sights, sounds and smells of the festive season in a Tudor manor house.
Across two weekends in December, Harvington Hall will be brought to life by our costumed reenactors, creating an authentic and atmospheric experience for you to explore.
Wander through the Hall and discover the Great Kitchen alive with activity, as our cook prepares traditional Tudor dishes over the roaring fire. Listen to musicians playing, admire the Hall dressed with traditional greenery and meet members of the household as they go about their preparations, dressed in their finest clothing.
With flickering fires, festive decorations, music, cooking and characters from the past around every corner, there's plenty to see, hear and discover as you explore the Hall.
This is a self-guided experience, giving you the freedom to explore the Hall at your own pace rather than following a formal guided tour.
Our wonderful stewards will be throughout the house, ready to answer your questions, share stories and point out some of Harvington's most fascinating features, including its famous priest hides.
Come through the doors, explore the Hall and discover what festive life was like over 400 years ago... and keep an eye out for the Lord of Misrule!
