Beckford Open Village

Come and enjoy the charm of Beckford as the village welcomes you to this biennial event. With beautiful open gardens to explore and lots to see and do for all the family to enjoy.

This year there will be at least 13 beautiful and varied open gardens, as well as the tranquil nature reserve with lake and bird hides. The historic church stands at the heart of the village and will be adorned with colourful flower displays.

There will be bell ringing and tower tours. Various stalls and attractions will include plant sales, homemade preserves, tombola, and local honey. Also classic cars, vintage radios, local arts, and activities for children. The theme running through this year’s event is pollinators and this will be reflected in the flower displays and children’s quiz trail.

There will be a beekeeper present with an observation hive, and a bat expert too! Refreshments include teas with homemade cakes, a champagne bar and barbecue, freshly made baguettes, local cider and ice cream. Live music will add to the atmosphere and enjoyment with sets by The Foregate Brothers on both days.

Julie July and Paul Anthony will both perform on Saturday, and the Winchcombe Community Choir will entertain you on the Sunday. Excitingly, a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast is scheduled on both days (subject to weather and operational requirements).
