About this business
Opening times, reviews & more
Housed in a beautiful Victorian building, Worcester City Art Gallery Museum runs a lively programme of exhibitions, activities and events for all the family.
Through 2023, see British impressionist paintings in the spring alongside a climate change-themed exhibition from Meadow Arts, a brilliantly fun 1980s exhibition in the summer, and a street art collaboration with Worcester Paint Festival in the autumn. Please check the website for dates before your visit.
From fossils to the Worcestershire sauce archive and the 20th-century Steward’s Chemist Shop (open to walk around in on the first Tuesday of every month), there's a lot to explore in the museum. Look out for the historic chemist shop lamp that you might recognise from BBC's the Repair Shop, and discover the story of the Worcestershire Regiment and the Worcestershire Yeomanry Cavalry.
The museum shop has a lovely range of unique cards and gifts inspired by the collection and current exhibitions, often highlighting Worcester-based artists and makers.
Check online for fantastic family workshops, activity bags, and trails throughout the year, and have fun in the children's activity space when you visit.
Round off your visit by relaxing in the tranquil setting of the brilliant independent cafe, Little Al's on the Balcony.
Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum is free to visit. There may be a cost for events or some exhibitions; please check online or give the team a call.
