We are a multi-award-winning, community-run, 16th Century Inn.We aim to provide a sustainable heart' for Elmley Castle and nearby villages, and a friendly destination venue for local visitors, walkers, cyclists, and tourists. With roaring log fires on colder days, fresh, locally sourced homemade food, a great selection of ales and ciders, and a quirky tearoom - we have something for everyone! With a history of over 500 years (including a visit by Queen Elizabeth 1 in 1575), we have been a community-run pub since December 2014, with the aim of becoming the beating heart of the villages that we serve, as well as a destination venue for the many walkers, cyclists, visitors, and holidaymakers that visit the area. The extensive selection of homemade dishes on the menu showcases largely locally sourced ingredients and are seasonally updated to complement our local ales, ciders, and even sparkling wine from Bredon Hill. Our Sunday Roast Lunch is legendary! Our Polka Dot Teapot Tearoom offers a quirky take on the traditional cream tea, whilst also offering various Indulgence Cakes, Milk Shakes, Children's Sweet Shop and themed Cupcakes. In addition, we operate a virtual Village Shop for all the main staples, including home delivery, whilst also hosting a variety of local Community Interest Groups.
