The Nest at Winnall

The Nest at Winnall is a luxury holiday cottage which dates from the early 19th Century. It is situated in a small valley of unspoilt Worcestershire countryside which slopes directly down to the River Severn.

The Nest has been lovingly restored to a high standard and can accommodate up to four guests in total comfort. It retains many period cottage features but with all the modern luxuries you would expect. There are two bedrooms with luxurious goose down duvets and cotton linen (Master King & ensuite / Twin & adjoining family bathroom with roll-top bath). The contemporary kitchen and dining area has everything you will need during your stay. The cosy, double-aspect lounge is a place to relax and plan your adventures beside the real woodburner. The whole of the interior has a chic retro design feel with many vintage details, so you can truly 'step back in time' and forget daily stresses during your stay. Also included is a fabulous welcome pack full of homemade goodies and local produce.

Within the private enclosed courtyard garden you are surrounded by plants, flowers, herbs and natural materials (such as original quarry tiles reclaimed from the old cottage floor). With its atmospheric lighting it is just perfect for secluded evening barbeques. The rear South facing patio offers an uninterrupted view of the extensive gardens.

There is something for everyone in the local area. The Nest is close to West Midlands Safari Park, Severn Valley Railway and Go Ape at Wyre Forest. A short drive will take you to the village of Ombersley, with four eateries to choose from. And less than five minutes away are Ombersley Golf Club, Little Owl Farm Park and Orchids Spa.

This is the ideal luxury base from which to explore the beautiful surroundings of Worcestershire, Shropshire and the Cotswolds. Short breaks and longer stays are available (2 nights minimum). Our changeover days are completely flexible, to suit your needs.
