The Fox Inn

It is thought that an inn of some sort has stood on the site of The Fox for at least 250 years, with the current building dating from the late 1830s. Historically, the pub has offered a vital meeting place for this small rural community. A friendly welcome still greets our guests today, as Head Chef Ben Giles and his team keep traditional family values at the core of The Fox's modern ethos.Ben and team acquired The Fox in 2017, and quickly set to work applying their food passion and years of experience in the trade to this country pub and restaurant. Traditional values are key to Ben's food ethos, coming from a successful family of publicans and restauranteurs, who own both The Punchbowl Inn, just outside Bridgnorth, and the renowned Plough Inn at Far Forest. Their extensive experience in all aspects of the pub and restaurant industry ensures a warm welcome and friendly front-of-house service to all our guests.Together, Ben and team bring these family traditions to The Fox, fused with their own passion for superb modern British dining. The restaurant now offers both a la carte excellence, and a daily, premium carvery.
