The Regal Cinema opened on Thursday July 29th 1937 but the building to which alterations were made in 1936 to construct the foyer, offices and projection room, had stood on the site for many years.This wonderful example of an art deco cinema has recently been fully restored and fitted out with all the very latest Digital Projection equiment and now benefits from modern heating, onsite catering facilities, box office and front of house staff and in house technicians.
