About this business
Opening times, reviews & more
Astley Vineyard, planted in 1971, is one of the oldest commercial vineyards in the UK. Located just 10 miles north of Worcester, close to the River Severn, the small estate includes a 5 acre vineyard and wooded valley. The award winning wines are made from four grape varieties Madeleine Angevine, Siegerebbe, Bacchus, and Kerner. Astley is a boutique producer that strives to produce elegant wines full of character, with the focus on still white wines, but also producing a sparkling wine made from Kerner and occasionally a Late Harvest wine.
The current owners, the Haywood family, have recently upgraded visitor facilities. The Tasting Room & Shop overlooks their pretty wooded valley where visitors can try and buy from the range of award winning white wines. Tours are available for individuals and groups [must be prebooked] and there are occasional special wine tasting events. More information about the vineyard can be found on the website
Astley Vineyard can be easily located with a brown tourism sign on the B4196 between Astley and Shrawley, just 10 miles from Worcester
