Dates, address & more
When young geisha Cio-Cio-San (Asmik Grigorian) marries American Naval Officer Pinkerton (Joshua Guerrero), she believes she is entering a real, binding marriage for life. Forsaking her religion and community, she learns all too late that their marriage is merely an illusion - with tragic consequences.
Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier’s exquisite production of Puccini’s entrancing, and ultimately heartbreaking opera, takes inspiration from 19th century European images of Japan. Live from the Royal Opera House.
