St George’s CE Church is inviting the people of Worcester to enjoy an afternoon of live music, delicious food and family entertainment when its popular Summer Fair returns to St George’s Square, Barbourne, on Saturday 11th July 2026.
Running from 12 noon until 4pm, the event will once again transform the Square into a bustling community gathering, with traditional fair stalls, refreshments and entertainment for visitors of all ages.
Leading this year’s entertainment will be Avonbank Brass Band, bringing 15 musicians to perform a varied programme throughout the afternoon. Avonbank will be joined by local musician Robbie Dorman, performing under his stage name The Spaceball Buccaneer. His melodic pop and rock set will feature a mix of original songs alongside well-loved classics from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and David Bowie, creating the perfect soundtrack for a summer afternoon in the Square.
Visitors can browse a wide range of traditional stalls, including the Grand Raffle, tombola, books, homemade cakes and crafts. There will also be plenty to tempt the appetite, with pulled pork rolls, local strawberries and cream, Pimm’s, Barbourne Cider and tea and coffee all available throughout the afternoon.
Families will enjoy the ever-popular and affordable Kid’s Zone, packed with games and activities for younger visitors.
While there will be no roundabout this year, organisers are confident there will be plenty to keep children entertained.
No Summer Fair would be complete without ice cream, and local company Bears Great Escapes will once again be serving its popular range of frozen treats. This year marks the company’s 20th anniversary, and it has been supplying ice cream at the St George’s Summer Fair for the past 15 years.
The Summer Fair remains one of Barbourne’s best-loved community events, bringing together residents, families and visitors while raising funds for St George’s CE Church and the work it carries out in the local community.
Entry is free, and everyone is warmly invited to come along and enjoy the festivities on Saturday 11th July, from 12 noon until 4pm.
