Step into a magical midsummer evening where music, myth, and nature meet. Following the huge success of their acclaimed semi-staged Purcell productions, Armonico Consort return with a bold and beautiful reimagining of King Arthur — presented in their unmistakable style: fresh, vibrant, and alive for today’s audiences.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Confetti Flower Fields, this open-air performance promises an unforgettable operatic experience. Narrated by Oz Clarke (see bio below) with a newly written script by the gifted William Towers, the legendary tale of King Arthur is retold with warmth, wit, and imagination, seamlessly interwoven with Purcell’s glorious music.
The result is a performance that feels both timeless and thrillingly new—perfect for devoted Purcell fans and equally enchanting for families and first-time opera-goers looking for a memorable night out.
