Festival of Blossom at Greyfriars House and Garden
Celebrate the Festival of Blossom at Greyfriars House and Garden this spring
About this event
Dates, address & more
The garden at Greyfriars, which is carefully tended by a team of volunteers, is starting to come out of hibernation. A variety of flowers and fruit trees are preparing to blossom this spring, anytime from late March – May.
Inspired by the Japanese tradition of 'Hanami', or flower viewing, the Festival of Blossom, created by the National Trust, invites people to take a moment and appreciate the beauty of blooming blossoms that can be seen across the country.
At Greyfriars the garden will be open for free, for everyone, 10am-4pm Tuesday to Saturday, inviting people to enjoy some peace and tranquillity in the busy city centre. There may even be some seasonal goodies available to try in the café too! We will also be sharing garden updates on our social media accounts weekly between the 25th March-20th May, and we are hoping you will share some of your pictures with us too! (You can find links to our social media pages on our property homepage).
The National Trust Blossom pin badges will be available from reception for those collectors out there.
All your visits, purchases in the café or second-hand bookshop, and donations help to support Greyfriars House and Garden, so it can continue to be enjoyed by everyone, for ever.
This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
