Croome: Plate Up
An exhibition of work by Sarah Taylor Silverwood and young participants from Pershore Riverside Youth Centre, commissioned by Meadow Arts.
About this event
Dates, address & more
Plate Up brings together a series of vibrant ceramic plates and a community cookbook that has been co-curated by the artist and young people to explore the shared creative processes of drawing, clay, printmaking and cooking.
Developed through creative workshops and cookery sessions participants explored how creativity flows through everyday life.
Plate Up continues Sarah Taylor Silverwood’s collaboration with young people from Pershore, having previously worked with members of the youth club and pupils from Pershore High School to create Wild Imagination, an animation inspired by Croome’s landscape for our Pages from Nature season. This will be the third time Riverside youth club members have exhibited artwork at Croome, made possible through their partnership with Meadow Arts.
Meadow Arts is a contemporary visual arts charity delivering ambitious and accessible projects in unexpected, often rural places.
Plate Up is commissioned by Meadow Arts, generously supported by Arts Council England and the Elmley Foundation.
This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
