Creative Half-Term Activity for all ages this May
Celebrate the beauty of imperfections this May Half Term!
About this event
Dates, address & more
Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi—where broken pottery is repaired with gold to make it even more beautiful—we invite you to try a mess-free, "unbreakable" version of this ancient craft.
Instead of ceramic shards and resin, we’re using imagination and gold ink! In this fun, self-led activity, you can piece together "broken" paper plates, fitting the fragments back together like a puzzle. Once your plate is whole again, use our shimmering gold pens to highlight the cracks, turning every break into a work of art.
If you want to move beyond paper and learn how to actually repair your cherished ceramics at home, join our professional Kintsugi Workshop on Saturday 13 June. Discover the authentic techniques and take home a masterpiece. Click here for more details and to book your spot.
No booking required - just drop in the Museum of Royal Worcester and start creating.
This activity is included in your Museum entry fee. While the workshop is free, standard admission charges apply.
