Willow Deer Sculpture Workshop

You will be shown the various techniques required to make your willow deer, measuring a mighty 3-4ft in height, with your experienced tutor guiding and supporting you throughout the making process. You will learn how to create the armature of your deer as well as different weaving techniques to cover the structure before then adding his nose, ears and antlers.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and will run from 10.00am until 4.30pm, with a pause for a ploughman-style lunch. Your lunch and all the materials to make your handsome deer will be provided, as will a workshop apron for you to wear during your day. Due to the nature of the workshop, we recommend wearing suitable clothing and closed toe footwear.
