Silver Bangle Workshop
This workshop is perfect for beginners and is a brilliant introduction to working with silver to create beautiful silver jewellery.
About this event
Dates, address & more
Your tutor will guide you through the various stages to create your very own silver bangle. You will have a choice of two styles of bangle (round wire or flat silver strip - see below picture) and will be introduced to different texturing techniques which you may or may not wish to use to personalise your bangle. These techniques will include hammering, and using stamps to make patterns or create messages. There will even be the opportunity to make a disc for your bangle, to leave flat or dome, further personalising your design, making your bangle a beautiful keepsake or thoughtful gift. If you prefer not to add the disc to your bangle, you could always make it into a pendant, making an additional item of jewellery to treasure. Please note, if you require your bangle to measure more than 25cm in circumference, please let us know before booking.
The skills you learn during your day will not only allow you to execute your make to a high standard, you will have a new-found appreciation for the silver jewellery we all love to wear, and the skills will of course be super handy should you decide to go on and make more jewellery.
This workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm, with a pause for a ploughman-style lunch. Your lunch and all the materials to make your silver bangle will be provided, as will a workshop apron for you to wear during your day.
At the end of your time with us, you will head home with your very own bit of sparkle!
