The Great Malvern Festival of Singing takes place across Malvern - something for everyone!

The Festival takes place 4th - 9th August, with options for participants to join us for 2, 4 or 6 days.

We have options for staying on-site or off-site, and options for non-residents to eat with us or not.

The week comprises of the following elements:

  • 4th - 5th August – Brahms – Ein Deutsches Requiem for a full performance in Great Malvern Priory at 7.30pm on 5th August, with 4 hands at one piano and professional soloists.
  • 6th - 7th August – Exploring the Renaissance – working towards a service of Plainsong Compline in the Chapel of Malvern College, at 7.30pm on 7th August, incorporating works by Monteverdi, White, Victoria, Sheppard, Tallis and Marenzio.
  • 8th - 9th August – Will Todd’s Mass in Blue – for a full performance in Great Malvern Priory at 7.30pm on 9th August with a professional soloist and Jazz quartet.

  • 7th August 7.30pm – Service of Plainsong Compline incorporating great works of the Renaissance by Monteverdi, Tallis, White, Sheppard, Marenzio and Victoria. Malvern College Chapel, College Road WR14 3DF. Entrance Free.
  • 8th August 8pm - Weimar & Back - A celebration of 125 years of Kurt Weil and Cabaret. Melinda Hughes - Soprano, Ben Saul - Piano, Rob Fergusson - Bass. Big School - Malvern College, College Road WR14 3DF. Entrance £10
  • 9th August 7.30pm - Todd - Mass In Blue - Chorus of the Festival, Melinda Hughes - The Ben Saul Sextet D'Amour, Jeff Stewart - Conductor - Great Malvern Priory. 7.30pm Entrance £10
