Glass Experience Day Course

No previous experience or artistic ability is required and there are plenty of examples in the studio for inspiration.

In the glass fusing session you can create 1 small piece (eg: jewellery) and 1 larger piece (eg: a coaster or sun-catcher) which are fired for you after the course. In stained glass you will cut 3-4 glass pieces and wrap them in copper foil and then solder the pieces together with a small hook to make a simple hanging panel. In enamelling you can make 3 pieces of jewellery with powdered glass on copper shapes which you fire yourself in the kiln and take away with you at the end.

Sarah has a full range of coloured glass in various formats and inclusions that can be used too, eg: glitter, bubbles, metal etc and she will be on hand for expert guidance to help you create some fabulous glass pieces.

These are private sessions for you or your group of up to 3 people and can be run all year round, you can choose a date to suit you - dates and times are flexible and a delicious ploughman’s style lunch is included.

There are also separate workshops in glass fusing, enamelling, stained glass and pottery throwing on a wheel at the same studios in North Worcester and you can choose to combine any of these crafts to make a half-day or whole-day course. Gift vouchers are also available if you want to give as a present – the recipient can then choose when to arrange the class.
