Wildlings Nature Play
A Waldorf-inspired setting for children and families set in a 20 acre woodland on a biodynamic farm
About this business
Opening times, reviews & more
Wildlings Nature Play is run by Luu and Paul. Their vision, fuelled by their passion for the earth and their son's education, was to create a child-led setting that didn't harm the environment.
With the support of Rush Farm they have created a unique play space, giving families access to a stunning 20 acre ancient woodland that was even mentioned in the Domesday Book.
Rush Farm is a high welfare, biodynamic farm. Biodynamics is a holistic, sustainable form of organic farming which: seeks to maximise the health and well-being of soil, animals, food and people. It is rooted in the work of philosopher and scientist Dr Rudolph Steiner.
Wildlings are careful about what they put into the Earth - you won't find anything synthetic (exception tarps, tools and safety equipment) and you'll know that your child's play has not compromised the environment.
Inspiration is taken from Rudolph Steiner's teachings on education, and combined with Luu's experience as a SEND key worker and ongoing accreditation in Hygge in the Early Years.
Wildlings is child-centered - children explore at their own pace. Activities are open-ended, designed to develop practical skills, foster creativity and a connection to the Earth. It is gentle and nurturing, rather than overstimulating.
Whether you’d love a natter or prefer to wander around having some time to yourself and observe, you are so welcome! Wildlings Nature Play is a community to those who need it, where families can connect and be the village that some of us may not always have.
