Did you know that Romans were believed to have used a Lickey End right of way which is currently being restored by Worcester County Council? Well, the news is that they are returning to the region this July! Roman soldiers, conspirators and even Emperor Caesar himself are visiting Bromsgrove and this time they are setting up camp at Avoncroft Museum on Wednesday 26 June at 7pm, when popular touring theatre company, Oddsocks Productions brings Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar to the museum as part of a national tour. Oddsocks productions is delighted to be returning to Avoncroft this summer with its unique brand of family-friendly, laugh out loud Shakespeare. Celebrating thirty-five years of touring nationally and internationally this year, Oddsocks is a family run theatre company lead by actor/directors Andy Barrow and Elli Mackenzie who also happen to be husband and wife and both appear in the production.

Prepare to laugh your socks off as the bonkers but talented cast of five actors, plus a life-sized puppet or two, pitch up to perform Shakespeare as you’ve never seen it before!

Gates open at 6pm, the performance starts at 7pm and the total running time is 2 hours including interval.

The show will go ahead in all but the very worst weather, so do make sure to wear appropriate clothing and bring seating and a picnic. Suitable for all from 7-107
