About this event

Dates, address & more

The British Organ Grinders Association was set up in 1991 by Peter Churchard, along with a handful of British enthusiasts who decided that some kind of club was needed for hand-turned organ enthusiasts. Since those days, the British Organ Grinders' Association has grown to over 300 members all over the world.

On the weekend of 18th & 19th May the British Street Organ Grinders Association will be setting up in the grounds of Avoncroft as they gather for their annual meeting.

Avoncroft visitors will be able to enjoy the different organs playing music from a bye gone era and talk with the members and find out about the charming musical machines.

The aims of the Association are to promote an interest in street organs and mechanical music and provide an information service for members.

Enjoy exploring over 30 historic buildings and their individual gardens and all the out side spaces that make up 19 acres of rural countryside.

You can also enjoy, trails games and hunts including a May-themed trail for every one to enjoy with a children’s activity booklet, lawn Games and a Jack in the Green Hunt.

Come and enjoy the early Summer as it arrives in the hidden gem that is Avoncroft Museum.
