Talk | Killing the King: The Death and Legacy of Charles I with Professor Darren Oldridge
Saturday 31 August, 2 – 3pm | The Commandery
The execution of Charles I was the most radical and divisive moment in the English Revolution. It was also, perhaps, the most widely publicised.
Professor Darren Oldridge of the University of Worcester shares contemporary printed accounts of this extraordinary event and considers its impact on seventeenth-century society.
If you’d like to explore the rest of The Commandery, you can purchase half-price day admission (£4.50, usually £9) from the shop on the day of the talk.
