The British Library's exhibition offers a legendary quest through the impossible worlds of fantasy. From epic visions to intricately envisaged details, it celebrates some of the finest fantasy creators, reveals how their imagined lands, languages and creatures came into being, and delves into the traditions of a genre that has created some of the most passionate and enduring fandoms. Journey from fairy tales and folklore to discover how the oldest forms of literature continue to inspire fantasy authors, filmmakers, and game producers today.

To celebrate the British Library's exhibition, students and alumni of the University of Worcester's School of Arts have created a show of their own original work inspired by the exhibition title, especially for The Hive. The mixed-media exhibition around the Atrium will nod towards myth and legend, fairy and folk tales, illustrated maps, magic and dark arts, and more...

Then, head up to Level 2 of The Hive to discover Fantasy in the Archives and see mythical creatures and Worcestershire's links to C.S Lewis and JRR Tolkien. Who knows where your journey will lead?
