Cherry Fayre

A free family event with something for everyone!

About this event

Dates, address & more

More than 60 years ago Bewdley was the centre for a flourishing cherry trade and with a 200 year tradition of an annual Cherry Fayre since at least 1817. So we hope that people may learn of former times and support our effort to rescue the different varieties of cherry. The event is a joint event with Bewdley Civic Society, telling visitors the history of the cherry orchards in Bewdley.

The Cherry Fayre includes:

  • 1940s Re-enactors, singing, dancing, bring your own picnics or purchase from the Garden Kitchen Café
  • Classic 40’s and 50’s cars
  • Craft stalls
  • A variety of cherries and cherry trees available to buy
  • Bewdley Civic Society stall and raffle
  • Live entertainment from 1.30pm until 3.30pm
    • Saturday Kevin Mack (vocal tribute artist - Ratpack and 1940s) from 1.30pm-3.30pm
    • Sunday Wyre Forest Big Band 1.30pm-3.30pm.

Last entry to the museum 4pm. Museum is free entry.
