Tuesday 12 November, 2.00pm - 2.30pm | Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum
This talk will be an introduction to the autumn exhibition, Atchin Tan - Travelling Through Art, with the Vardo Project Curator, Georgie Stevens.
The exhibition is a visual journey through time of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) communities, co-curated with members of the communities.
Works by Turner, Munnings and Gainsborough will hang alongside newly commissioned artworks by Romany artists, some of which demonstrate skills from endangered crafts.
Hear oral histories, traditional Romany storytelling, poetry and music, and leaf through family photograph albums, while discovering how Romany identity has been portrayed through time.
Tickets £4.50. Book your space online: Bite-size Talk | Romany Arts - Museums Worcestershire
